Vista media library not updating

Rated 4.67/5 based on 846 customer reviews

If I get home tonight and find media in my library, you sir, will get a star.:) After trying all these convoluted (but smart) ways of adding the music files to the library to no avail (probably due to my in-experience with the command prompt syntax), I finally went into my music folder, highlighted all of the music folders by using Cntrl A, right clicked, and told it to add to a playlist.

If you get a severely damaged library, you can also do this. THEN I TRIED THIS I6OY RUN ENABLE LIBRARIES FEATURE...(RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR IF REQUIRED) THEN ALL SOLVED..

Windows Media Player can play the file types shown in Table 8.1.

NOTE Vista doesn't come from Microsoft with DVD playback capability, except in the editions containing Media Center—Vista Home Premium and Vista Ulimate.

I have tried reinstalling WMP11 and has not fixed it and I've used the Microsoft WMP troubleshooter to no avail.

All I want is for the track title and artist to populate like previous versions I have had on previous PC's I have owned.
